View looking into Old Court
The practice won a competition in 2002 which required the development of a masterplan for the historic areas of the College and the design of a new building within Gisborne Court at Peterhouse, the oldest college at the University of Cambridge. The design of the masterplan involved considering such issues as access for fire fighting, maintenance and servicing to ensure that facilities were brought up to the latest standards and conformed with both current health and safety requirements and disabled legislation regarding accessibility. The masterplan was also concerned with ensuring that a stategy existed to secure the long term objectives of the College.
