Fawley Court is a Grade I listed building attributed to Christopher Wren set in a Capability Brown landscape on the banks of the Thames just outside Henley-on-Thames. There are also numerous outbuildings, including a stable block and dovecot in addition to a church and, all of which are in very poor condition.

For decades, Fawley Court had been used as first a school and later a missionary before its new owner decided to return it back to residential use. In general, the landscape has been seriously degraded and the house requires a great deal of attention. The outbuildings include an eighteenth century classical stable block that particularly needs immediate address. However, the development encompasses more than simply a residence. A plan for the estate is being drawn up which includes an enabling development that will raise funds to support the restoration of the house and the gardens. This involves the addition of a group of new houses designed to a traditional village format around the kitchen garden areas augmenting some of the existing buildings to be refurbished. A minimum of ten per cent of the energy required by these new buildings will be from renewable energy sources including solar panels and ground source heat pumps. The Georgian stable block is to be converted into a small theatre to be used for an annual music festival. Both the festival and the development are part of an enabling plan designed to underpin the historic elements in the estate.
